Do I Need To Pay A Security Deposit For Booking My Accommodation?

The deposit is a standard security fee that has to be paid when booking your accommodation. By law, security deposits cannot be used for rent payments. The security deposit covers possible damages, excessive wear and tear, or other unmet conditions at the end of your tenancy agreement.

The deposit equals to twice the month's rent for independent accommodations (whole apartments or houses), and €950,00 for dependent accommodations (rooms). The deposit will be refunded within 14 days after the contract end date if everything is in order with the accommodation, keys are returned, i/a deregistration evidence has been provided and other contractual obligations have been met.
