You can report your registration elsewhere within the Netherlands or registration abroad at the municipality where you are registered, or at any government agency abroad. Q: Is Registration At The Municipality Possible?

Registration is mandatory by Dutch law for all stays longer than 4 months, and therefore you are also obligated to register yourself as soon as possible when the contract enters into force. Kindly note this may be a different date than the contract signing date! Dutch law does not require registration for any stays shorter than 4 months. For that reason, we explicitly exclude this possibility with short stay contracts (stays for four or less months). The main reason for this is that of the administrative hassle like taxes and the deregistration process. Therefore, short stay accommodations are often more favorable priced.
